Financial Controller / Finance Manager
43,000p/a + 4,000 (Euros) Bonus + Benefits
Milan, Italy
Excellent opportunity to join this global IT Hardware/Software organisation.
This role is to be responsible for establishing and monitoring the accounting procedures in order to ensure that all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with Corporate accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles. Analysis of the financial position of the Italian entity, with respect to revenue, gross margins, expenditure and profits will be undertaken. Reporting and making recommendations to senior management and ensuring adherence to the financial budget for the entity.
Duties & Responsibilities;
- Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of financial data and timely close of Italy ledgers at month end.
- Preparation/review of month end reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
- Reviewing, analysing and interpreting the financial and budgetary reports for Italy and making recommendations as appropriate to senior management.
- Maintaining cost control and ensuring active engagement in the purchase order and approval process.
- Cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
- Managing the year end statutory audit of Italy and acting as the key liaison with external auditors.
- Managing tax compliance matters (corporation tax, VAT, employment tax).
- Reporting and monthly close activities (according to US GAAP).
- Upholding Financial Controls to ensure activities comply with both the local accounting principles and the US GAAP requirements.
- P&L Analysis.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting.
- CPA or equivalent desirable but not essential
Skills and Abilities:
- Technical and comprehensive knowledge of all accounting functional areas.
- Excellent time management, communication, negotiation, decision-making, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge on both the local accounting principles and the US GAAP.
- Oracle knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent English Language skills required.
