The Role

Responsible for managing a team of operational and support staff in the day to day running of end to end encryption managed services hosted in the company’s UK and European data centres. Key activities will include keeping the data centre and associated managed services operationally available and maintained in line with service level agreements (SLA) while generating and implementing strategies and processes to ensure the service offerings are to a high standard breed. Manage relationships with key external suppliers on one side and internal support teams on the other.

Understanding, monitoring and evaluating change management along with strong people management skills are essential requirements for this post.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure service delivery is best of breed and meets SLAs
- Experience in Managing and Hosting Applications for external clients.
- Coordinate and manage subordinates, facilitate interdepartmental communication and allocate tasks and resources as required
- Gather and link information, resolve discrepancies and make strategic recommendations
- Prioritise and manage several tasks simultaneously
- Ensure cross functional development and assist in the consolidation and integration of operational and support functions
- Make effective presentations to internal/external audiences
- Manage customer support programs and technical trouble shooting related to the data centre and managed service operations
- Organise, analyse, interpret and evaluate results
- Provide practical, cost effective solutions to operational issues
- Facilitate contract administration, inspection and reporting
- Process and procedure definition, monitoring and review
- Assist in the Financial management, planning and reporting
- Internal/external reporting of performance against defined KPIs

Person Profile

- Degree educated would be bonus but not essential
- Previous experience working in an ICT / Managed Service environment where ITIL best practice had been adopted
- Knowledge of UK payment industry preferred, EPOS, POS.
- Experience gained within a Managed Service and application hosting background.
- Experience in Managing or having run a service centre / data centre.
